Revisiting an old friend

My customer emailed me this week and sent me photos of her dollhouse that we renovated for her a while back (Last Blog Update on Lost Cause Dollhouse ). She has installed all her furniture and accessories -- her grandmother made some of the furniture and the customer herself made some of the accessories. Wanted to share these with you all!

Living Room -- I adore the birdcage under the stairs, next to the TV!
One of my favorite rooms: the Dining Room

The bright and cheerful kitchen is another favorite of mine
I am so happy the customer put a battery operated light in the kitchen to show off those accessories!  So much to see in there!
A bit blurry, but here is the Bathroom.

I really like the table lamps in the Master Bedroom!

Customer made the Russian books on the desk in the children's room
I am so glad when I get to see the dollhouses I've worked on being enjoyed and played with!  Such a good thing the customer didn't give up hope on this treasured childhood house and throw it away!  It will provide her with many more memories to cherish!

  1. Hi, Lori - I agree with you that it's a good thing that your customer decided to keep this house - all those memories thrown away would have been so sad. You did a great job on the renovation, and it's such fun to see it now all furnished and livable. I love the eclectic mix of furniture and accessories; it's always a pleasure to see homemade pieces; those are the treasures!

    1. Yes, I am still in shock that the first person she took the dollhouse to for repairs recommended she just throw it away: it wasn't worth saving according to them. Sentimental objects should never be "just thrown away". I'm so happy she didn't take "no" for an answer and continued to search for someone to fix her dollhouse (which is how she found us - thank goodness for Google! LOL)
